Lumina

Lumina Goes Volunteering At The Seaside

Lumina battled the blustery beaches of Weston-Super-Mare for the company’s annual volunteering day. The team visited the seaside resort to help out members of Agoonoree Scout Group.

The annual scout camp allows disabled scouts from Greater London to enjoy the full experience of scouting, whilst forging friendships and trying new activities. It also has an important respite care function, allowing carers to have a break whilst knowing that their loved ones are in a safe and secure environment.

Down on the beach, the Lumina team organised a game of rounders, persevering despite the howling winds. Some of us were brave enough to dip our toes in the sea. As well as supervising some very speedy donkey rides, Lumina helped build a sand sculpture volcano, which was awarded a 10 out of 10 by the beach staff! We went back to London with wind burn and very fond memories of a great day.
