I have worked in the field of CSR for nearly six years. In that time I have come across a range of networks, LinkedIn groups, conferences and seminars. They all proclaim to share best practice, advice and experience to solve the issues the CSR world faces today. I have attended conferences where I have been fed more information than it is possible to digest, I have wondered aimlessly at networking sessions unsure who has the answers to my questions and I am a member of more LinkedIn groups than I can keep up with. Why then, you may ask, have we decided to add yet another network into the mix?
CSR activity, we believe, should be transparent. Access to best practice should not be limited to those who can afford the cost to attend a conference or join a membership organisation. So we decided to create a network that was free and transparent, a network which offers CSR professionals solutions to key issues by encouraging an open dialogue, a network called CSR Breakfast.
CSR Breakfast is a joint venture between Lumina and Ethical Performance. We will be hosting a series of roundtable discussions. Attendance to the roundtable events is by invitation only, but, unlike other organisations, CSR Breakfast will provide a summary of the discussion available on the CSR Breakfast LinkedIn Group, so all the members can continue discussing the themes raised online.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We hope that CSR Breakfast will combine all the nutrients needed to start the day with a stimulating discussion both on and offline, rather than being just another network or LinkedIn Group.
